The Harvest Moon Festival is an important fundraiser for both the zoo and the conservation efforts we support. The Zoo is a non-profit organization; this fundraiser and everyone who supports it helps the zoo provide for the needs of over 250 animals that call the zoo home. Your support provides diets, vet care, and enrichment to keep the animals active and healthy. It also allows the zoo the opportunity to continue educational programs in the community that help people engage with wildlife and encourage them to protect the world around them. Each year, the AGCZ conservation committee chooses a conservation effort that we can educate guests about and raise funds to help their cause. This year, a portion of the proceeds from the event will be donated to SAFE (Saving Animals From Extinction) American Red Wolf Program. This year, the Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo was the first zoo in the state to become a partner facility in the SAFE American Red Wolf Program, caring for these animals until they are ready to be paired for future breeding or released into the wild. We welcomed two brothers, Jenkins and Walker Sponsorships Sponsorships are available, including exclusive promotional opportunities and special amenities for you or your business. Contact Paula White, Director of Development, at (251) 256-7008 ext 124 or development@algulfcoastzoo.org. The event will be held rain or shine. In the event of rain, as many activities as possible will be moved inside under the event center pavilion. All ticket sales are final; no refunds will be issued. Some animals may not be on exhibit after hours due to their normal sleep schedule. Zoo Foundation Inc., dba the Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo, is recognized as a 501(c)(3) organization, tax ID #58-1919174.
