Child Safety Day
The National Maritime Museum of the Gulf of Mexico 155 S Water St, Mobile, AlabamaSave the date for May 30, when Children's & Women's Hospital hosts a Child Safety Day at the National Maritime Museum of the Gulf. Fun for the whole family, the event will include life jacket fittings and free life jackets for children who are present, while supplies last, thanks to a grant from the Gulf Coast RC&D Council. The museum will offer discounted admission for $5 during the event from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The National Maritime Museum of the Gulf-A hands-on, family-friendly museum that brings the history and culture of the Gulf to life through interactive exhibits and real-world experiences.-Located downtown on the Mobile River, the museum explores how the Gulf shapes daily life along the coast — from shipping and trade to fishing, recreation, and protecting our environment.-More than just a museum, it's a place where people of all ages can connect with the Gulf, learn its stories, and discover why it matters to our community.
Cars and Crawfish
Downtown FairhopeWe are pleased to announce that preparations are underway for the "Cars & Crawfish" event on May 30, 2026. We anticipate a wonderful time filled with delicious crawfish. There will be no admission fee for the car show. Crawfish will be available for purchase at $20.00 for 2 lbs, which includes corn and potatoes, or $25.00 for 3 lbs, also with corn and potatoes. Fat Boys Grilling will be doing there thing!!! For our younger guests, snow cones will be provided by Azalea City Snow.For our adult guest, Gulf Distributing will be on-site offering taste testing opportunities. We are also in the process of finalizing a few additional activities for the day.

Once you've checked off every challenge, return to Base Camp where "X" marks the spot to claim your well-earned reward! After your adventure, stick around to enjoy music from DJ Matt, and witness the SPECTRA Laser Light Experience. Ready your maps and sharpen your skills—it’s time to blaze the trail for a great cause. Check-in is located at the Pepsi tent in Palms Plaza. For the first 500 children to complete the hunt, The Wharf’s Anchor Campaign will make a special $5 donation in the child’s honor to the Alabama Credit Union’s Secret Meals for Hungry Children program, helping provide meals to kids in need.
