The South Alabama Veterans’ Council (SAVC) also announces the annual Memorial Day Ceremony at the National Cemetery at 1202 Virginia Street in Mobile.The brief ceremony begins at 8:30 AM Monday May 25, 2026.The public is cordially and enthusiastically invited to attend. The SAVC offers this ceremony as an appropriate memorial to our Veterans, but also as a reminder to all that it is only through the sacrifices of the men and women of our armed services that weare able to enjoy and preserve our rights and freedoms. Let's carry on this tradition and pass it on to our youth. These ideals of service andsacrifice are integral to patriotism and vital to the survival of our American way of life.Please bring your family and join us on Memorial Day to honor those who made liberty possible.Participants will be available for an interview.
