USS ALABAMA Battleship Memorial Park is proud to be the last stop for the Memorial Day Flag Relay. The relay will begin in West Mobile and end on the USS Alabama. Two Flag Carriers will carry the American Flag and POW/MIA flag for 1 mile along the 25-mile route. For more information or to register for this free event, please call 251-649-1430. Spectators who wish to be at the park should plan to arrive by 10:30 a.m. and must pay $5 to park vehicles at USS ALABAMA Battleship Memorial Park.

Ballin' On The Bay Showcase Tournament has become one of the top youth tournaments in the Southeast! More than 100 teams (boys and girls, grades 3-12) from across the Gulf Coast will compete on multiple courts at the Mobile Convention Center. Each team is guaranteed three games. Pool play on May 31. The Saturday market will be done at Semmes Honor Park. We will have a variety of farmers and vendors with fresh fruits, vegetables, plants, jams, honey, plants, and a farm swap (animals). The animal shelter will be there with dog adoptions. We will have food vendors, live music, and an area to hang out and play a game of checkers or cards. Come out to the East End of Dauphin Island on June 28 from 10am-Noon for the Island’s second annual Sand Sculpture Competition! There will be demonstrations of techniques, utilization of tools and tricks by professional artist Jason Harwell with Sand Effects. Competitors will then be split into teams and use the remaining hours to complete their work of art. This will be followed by judging and announcement of the winners. Open to all ages! This is also the last series of the Ultimate Island Summer Games. Awards for both events will take place at Noon.
