WHEN: FRIDAY, JANUARY 31, 2025 WHERE: Downtown Mobile, Cathedral Square TIME: 7:00 pm COST: FREE Led by an unmistakable vocal and bringing a Texas-rock edge to modern country, the never-changing lineup of Mike Eli, James Young, Jon Jones, and Chris Thompson have spent two-plus decades on the run, growing from hometown heroes into globe-trotting, chart-topping pioneers. After becoming icons of Texas’ vibrant college-bar scene – and then packing arenas all over the state (without label support) – that Level album from 2005 landed like a live wire, injecting EYB into the mainstream. Sammy Kershaw joins the concert as the opening act for the night. Sammy Kershaw, has amassed three platinum and six gold albums that have scanned and streamed in excess of 5 million records and nearly 100 million combined songs sold. Often referred to as the “heir apparent” to legendary ‘voice’ George Jones, the GRAMMY nominated performer helped shape and make the ‘90s a shining decade for country music. His multi-platinum albums were propelled into the record books by hits such as “She Don’t Know She’s Beautiful,” “Queen of My Doublewide Trailer”, “I Can’t Reach Her Anymore,” “National Working Woman’s Holiday,” “Love Of My Life,” “Cadillac Style,” “Don’t Go Near The Water,” “Haunted Heart”, “Vidalia” and many other milestones.

National Youth Heart Screening Day
National Youth Heart Screening Day is a Call-to-Action: Every Kid. Every Heart. Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA) strikes 23,000 youth each year affecting many with undiagnosed heart conditions that are found in 1 in 300 seemingly healthy children and young adults. Typical well-child checkups and preparticipation physical evaluations miss up to 90% of youth at risk. Our goal is to amplify awareness about the reality of sudden cardiac arrest (SCA) in children and young adults, the importance of heart screenings for early detection of risk factors that may lead to sudden cardiac arrest/death. Also, knowing how to recognize and respond to a cardiac emergency by performing hands-only CPR and using an automated external defibrillator (AED) to increase the chance of survival from sudden cardiac arrest. National Youth Heart Screening Day will impact an estimated 10,000+ youth across 15 states.
