Spring Movies in the Park- Mobile
Join the City of Mobile Parks & Recreation Department for a Movies in the Park this spring! This is a free event in which you can hang out, play games, snack, and watch movies with us. Movies in the Park includes screenings of eight different movies in four different parks and community centers. All indoor events will begin at 6 p.m., and all outdoor events will begin at sunset. Sunset Cruise from Five Rivers Delta Resource Center

Come along on a brief relaxing voyage departing from the Bartram Landing at Five Rivers Delta Resource Center as we experience nature's splendor and be back in time to grab a seafood dinner on the Causeway! Age & Fitness Very young children are allowed, but parents need to bring life vests for children under four years of age; the Coast Guard cannot guarantee the boat's life rings will fit toddlers. Located directly across from the Mitchell Center at the University of South Alabama, South Wesley welcomes students of all backgrounds to join in Outreach, Fellowship, Worship, Discipleship, and Missions. We aim to create a safe environment for students to connect, serve, and grow! The Spring Community Art Market will be held on Saturday, April 13th, from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. 14th Annual Mobile Chocolate Festival
The Mobile Chocolate Festival, a celebration of all things chocolate, will be held at The Grounds on Saturday April 13, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m., with all proceeds to benefit Penelope House. Carlisle Medical is the Moon Pie Sponsor and The Hargrove Foundation, New Horizons Credit Union and Tyndall Federal Credit Union are the Truffle Sponsors. Survival Principles Instruction Program for Kids
Survival Principles Instruction Program for Kids Date: Saturday, April 13, 2024 Time: 11:00 AM-12:00 PM Price: Complimentary with regular park admission of $5 for adults and $3 for kids ages 6-12; under 6 is free. Program takes place at Old House Site Blakeley is a partner with several local search and rescue teams. These non-profit volunteer organizations provide vital trained personnel and resources to law enforcement, fire rescue, US Coast Guard, and other agencies in our region during emergency situations. During this special series of programs, children will be introduced to a few of the most basic survival principles that could mean life or death in the unfortunate event they became lost or separated from adults in the outdoors. They will also get a chance to meet some of the specially-trained dogs which assist professional rescue teams in locating lost or injured individuals in wilderness settings. Complimentary with regular park admission or registration for our Junior Naturalist Program at 11:00 AM. Events take place at the Old House Site.

35th Annual Baldwin County Strawberry Festival
Welcome to the Baldwin County Strawberry Festival! The Baldwin County Strawberry Festival is a much-anticipated local tradition held annually at Loxley Municipal Park. Every year, visitors join us from all around the Southeast to enjoy the special events, car shows, music, crafts and, of course, the strawberry shortcakes! Whether you're a festival veteran or first-timer, we invite you to join us for this year's event. Not only will you share a memorable experience with friends and family, but you will also help us raise funds for worthy causes right here in our community. Baldwin County Strawberry Festival is a local non-profit organization and all event proceeds stay local. Funds raised benefit Loxley Elementary School and the ARC Baldwin County, Inc. Our festival weekend starts on the second Saturday of April each year.

Learn about our native trees, build pine cone barometers, create leaf art, learn about keeping a nature journal and more. All supplies are provided. Complimentary with regular park admission and/or registration to our Junior Naturalist Program. Pre-registration is required. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Event takes place at the Old House Site prior to Survival Principles Instruction Program (11:00 AM-12:00 PM) The Alabama Master Naturalists are trained volunteers who promote awareness and understanding of Alabama's natural world through science-based information and research.

Earth Day Celebration Art Activity
Help us celebrate Earth Day as we collaborate with the Japanese Gardens for a family fun recycled art activity. Visitors will use recyclable materials like plastic and paper bags to create a Koinobori, also known as a Carp (or Koi in Japanese) Windsock in celebration of Japan’s National Children’s Day where families fly giant carp windsocks on flagpoles next to their homes from April to May as a symbol of perseverance, hoping their children will be as spirited and determined as the strong carp that swims upstream through powerful waterfalls. Starts at 1p.m.

Date: Saturday, April 20, 2024 Time: 10:30 AM-1:30 PM Price: $45.99 adults/$35.99 kids 12 and under Departing from the Blakeley dock, we’ll venture through one of the nation’s most biodiverse ecosystems as we wind our way to the popular Bluegill Restaurant on the Mobile Causeway. Afterwards we will take an alternate route back to the park as we keep an eye out for some of the area’s famed wildlife, such as alligators, ospreys, bald eagles, and numerous other species of plants and animals unique to this area. Enjoy this special cruise from the comfort of the Delta Explorer, our covered pontoon boat equipped with bench seating and a restroom. Gulf Coast Hot Air Balloon Festival
The Gulf Coast Hot Air Balloon Festival at OWA Parks & Resort benefits the South Baldwin Chamber of Commerce. Named the 2021 Event of the Year by the Alabama Tourism Department, this all-ages hot air balloon festival is free-to-enter with a variety of activities and entertainment to keep your imagination soaring. The festival features daily live music and entertainment, arts and crafts displays, and balloon glows. This year’s event will feature 50 balloons with pilots from across the country! Catch the Balloon Glow (weather and wind permitting) daily beginning around dusk.

Make a Hat Workshop for Kids
This fun workshop begins with a visit to the Global Language of Headwear exhibition where we will learn about hats from all over the world. Afterwards, kids will make their own hats to take home. Attendees can take inspiration from the hats in the exhibition, or create a hat, headband, or crown from their own imagination using materials supplied by the museum. This workshop is suitable for ages 6-12. The cost is $10 per person, and parents are welcome to attend. May The Fourth is BACK!!! Join us as we celebrate the return of one of our favorite "holidays" here at the Exploreum. We will have special, space-themed activities scheduled through out the day for all ages. Costumes (family friendly) are encouraged as always. We will be showing our regular PCI Digital Dome movies throughout the day, then having a special showing of the Star Wars classic, A New Hope, that afternoon. Space is limited for that one time showing so guests will need to reserve their space upon arrival. First come, first served. No advanced ticket sales. General Admission for non-members.
