Parent’s Night Out is an Event to Benefit parents seeking affordable childcare for a Valentines Date Night, or a mom’s night out- and also this event benefits our Youth Students as all the profits will go to support their Summer Mission Trip to New York City. We have a fun evening planned of Childcare on February 9th (2/9/24) from 5:30-8:30PM. We have highly trained and trusted professionals to watch and oversee every age group. LODA ArtWalk celebrates regional brass bands on Friday, February 9th! Stop by Mardi Gras Park before and after Friday’s parades for a live music showcase. Come downtown to show your support of local artists, arts organizations, and downtown businesses at this fun, family-friendly event. Due to Mardi Gras parades happening that evening, our monthly ArtWalk vendors will NOT be set up and our community gallery will NOT be open. You can still support our vendors by visiting their social pages linked below! We will post special content on the LoDa ArtWalk Facebook page throughout the month for updates from participating venues. The in-person ArtWalk will take place downtown from 6 to 9 p.m. Select restaurants and retailers will have sidewalk sales and expanded outdoor seating available, and galleries will be open for extended hours. We encourage all attendees to consider purchasing artwork from a local creative or donating to an arts organization that they would typically support at this time. 313th U.S. Army Band Performance

Come see and hear the the 313th U.S. Army Band perform a patriotic concert in the Medal of Honor Aircraft Pavilion. The concert is free to attend and open to the public. There is a $5 parking fee.

In this class, we will explore a variety of art materials, processes, and techniques inspired by artists currently on view. Celebrate Kids is having a Dance and you are invited! This will be a daddy/ daughter & mother/son dance where we will all come dressed in our best ready to show off our best dance moves. We will have an ice cream bar with all the yummy toppings. We will have some fun ministry from our very own KOTC. Invite your friends and invite your family, everyone is invited to attend our very special event. Cost is $10 for adults, $5 for kids. A cost for a family will not exceed $30.

Pensacola Chocolate and Cheese Fest 2024

Community Maritime Park

Welcome to the Second Annual Pensacola Chocolate and Cheese Fest that will be held at Community Maritime Park, downtown Pensacola. We will have food trucks and vendors selling Chocolate and Cheese themed items as well as other vendor and menu items. $5 Entry fee and kids 12 & Under are free. Beer, Wine, Vendors, Chocolate Martini's, Contests, Free Chocolate and Cheese sampling tent, Live Music, Kids Bounce House. We will be having a Chocolate Pie eating contest at 2 PM on Sunday February 18th. The first one to eat the pie wins a trophy and $100 in gift certificates to local restaurants.

A Literacy program of reading books and sharing activities. Designed for preschoolers and homeschoolers. Every Thursday morning at 10:30am the group will read a book at various locations in the Gardens. On rainy days the group will meet in the Larkins Classroom. FREE to MBG members, cost of admission for nonmembers, and registration is required. All children must be accompanied by parent or assigned adult guardian. Kids Fishing

Meaher State Park

Join us at the Meaher State Park fishing pier for a fun morning of fishing with our Naturalist Chloe Drexel! Bait will be provided. If you have a personal pole, please bring it. If not, we will have extras to share in limited quantities. Kids 15 and under do not need a fishing license, but our 16+ friends will need a freshwater fishing license to participate. These can be purchased at www.outdooralabama.com. What to bring: water, snacks, sunglasses, and weather-appropriate clothing along with a fishing pole and tackle if you have those available. There’s NO COST for overnight guests, veterans, and children under 12, and a small $3 park entry fee for anyone else 12+. As always, be weather-aware. We will be discussing the unique characteristics of amphibians before diving a little deeper into some of the individual species that we have present in the local environment.
