STREAM Saturday: Kinesiology
Mardi Gras ParkRegistration is open for our next STREAM Saturday event, happening Saturday, May 24! This time we are partnering with MPRD Fitness and the Gulf Coast Fitness Palooza to present Kinesiology: The Science of Movement ! Have you ever wondered how muscles work or why some people run faster than others? Young "STREAMers" are invited to Mardi Gras Park where they will explore how muscles and bones work together by dissecting frog specimens and uncovering the secrets of motion. They will also be able to roll up their sleeves and build their very own model arm to see biomechanics in action! Come out to learn the science behind every step, jump and stretch! Gulf Coast Caribbean Carnival 2025
Mardi Gras ParkThe Caribbean Culture on the Gulf Coast will be celebrated. With the backing of the backing of Mobile Parks and Recreation, Level Up Entertainment, and the Gulf Coast Caribbean Carnival Association, the streets of Downtown Mobile will be the scene of beautiful caribbean costumes, music, and good clean family fun. A parade through downtown will end at Mardi Gras Park, where Mobile County Parks and Recreation Department has approved the FIRST EVER Gulf Coast Caribbean Carnival Festival. Its a festival celebrating the culture near and dear to our hearts. So come one come all May 25th, 2025 1pm. There will be vendors, food, music, performances and good family fun!!!

Memorial Day Flag Relay
Battleship Memorial ParkUSS ALABAMA Battleship Memorial Park is proud to be the last stop for the Memorial Day Flag Relay. The relay will begin in West Mobile and end on the USS Alabama. Two Flag Carriers will carry the American Flag and POW/MIA flag for 1 mile along the 25-mile route. For more information or to register for this free event, please call 251-649-1430. Spectators who wish to be at the park should plan to arrive by 10:30 a.m. and must pay $5 to park vehicles at USS ALABAMA Battleship Memorial Park.
