Cathedral Square, Mobile, AlabamaAbout the 2024 Festival of Flowers The award-winning Festival of Flowers will celebrate its 31st year in downtown Mobile’s Cathedral Square by proudly showcasing horticultural displays created by the Mobile area’s best teams of florists, nurseries, landscapers, designers, and artists. They will compete for bragging rights for the Festival of Flowers People's Choice Award. Enjoy live music, outdoor seminars, and select vendors that are in keeping with the Festival of Flowers tradition. Special events include ArtWalk and a Saturday morning Exotic Car Show. Let's have fun, give back to our healthcare community, celebrate the Mobile area, and watch as our most creative show off their talents! Produced by the Providence Foundation, the 2024 Festival of Flowers will inspire and nurture the gardener in all of us while raising funds to purchase advanced medical equipment for USA Health Providence Hospital. Recognized in 2021 and 2023 as Alabama Magazine’s “Best of Bama Charity Event,” the Festival of Flowers continues the tradition of delighting and educating visitors of all ages. Kite Fest
East End Beach Dauphin IslandGrab your kites and come out to the East End Beach on March 10 for Kite Fest! Awards and prizes will be given to the highest flying kite, longest kite in flight, biggest kite, most unique, best homemade kite and a special Mayor’s choice award! Kite competitions start at Noon. However, come early because Emerald Coast Kite Flyers Club will be filling the sky with some unique & acrobatic kites! The Miss Dauphin Island young ladies will be on site to help you tye-dye your own T-shirt ($20 minimum donation) and Matt Erdman will be performing live! Shaved Ice Paradise & La Taqueria Tacos will be on site selling some delicious food & desserts.
