Tales and Trails in the Gardens Preschool Storytime Returns! This fall, Tales and Trails preschool storytime returns to Mobile Botanical Gardens through the generous support of the Lilian S. Woolford Charitable Trust. Join us on Thursday mornings beginning at 10:30 am in various locations throughout MBG’s 106 acres to enjoy preschool storytime together. MBG Docents will read aloud specially selected stories and lead nature-based activities perfect for preschoolers. Parents and children alike will learn and have fun in our gorgeous garden setting. Join us for our annual Main Street Fall Fest Saturday, October 26th from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Daphne Elementary School and enjoy games, inflatables, music, a spooky maze, candy, concessions, and more! Patrons can preorder tickets via our website at daphneelementarypto.com at a reduced rate of $15 per person (ages 3-15). Festival goers ages 16 and up get in FREE! Tickets will also be available at the gate the day-of for $20 per person.

Head to Downtown OWA for Community Safety Day on Saturday, September 28th starting at 4pm. During this free event, guests will enjoy interactive demonstrations from first responders, public safety officers, and local organizations that support the betterment of our South Baldwin community. Plus, it’s a great way for you to help us celebrate those who work so hard to help keep our community safe! Come meet representatives from Alabama Department of Public Health, Foley Fire Dept., Baldwin EMC, Weeks Bay Foundation, Mobile Bay National Estuary Program, Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, Baldwin County Child Advocacy Center, Drive Electric Alabama, Riviera Utilities. Join us on Magnolia Hill Saturday, September 28, 2024 for a family pollinator workshop. Our friendly beekeeper, Veronica Culberson of Honey of the Hill, will present an engaging, informative, and interactive talk for all ages. And we will play The Pollination Game, make seed bombs, and more. Event includes FREE admission to the Gardens for everyone but REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED.

Nestled in Midtown Mobile, Historic Oakleigh’s garden is the perfect backdrop for this year’s first annual literary lawn party. Delve into Gulf Coast literature with authors and booksellers from all over the Southeast. This is a free event sponsored by The Haunted Book Shop. We will have over 30 authors, booksellers, and food trucks.
