10327 Taylor F. Harper Blvd Grand Bay, AlabamaThe Grand Bay Watermelon Festival will be a day and a half of fun, located at 10327 Taylor F. Harper Blvd., Grand Bay, AL! The gates will open to the public from 3 pm until 7 pm on July 3rd. Gate entrance/parking on July 3rd is free. We will have Music, Rides, Food Vendors, and Arts & Crafts Vendors, but NO WATERMELON on the 3rd.Grand Bay Watermelon Festival Programs will also be available for purchase on July 3rd for $5, which you can show at the gate on July 4th for your vehicle admission. Festival T-shirts will also be for sale.July 4th - Gate admission is just $5 per vehicle for parking at the entrance gate. Times and groups the Gates will be open on July 4th: Vendors and Car Show entrants - from 8 am; General Public - 9:30 am. Festival Vendors (except Food Vendors) will close at 5 pm and all patrons must be out of the roadways so vendors can get back to their booths at 5 pm.We plan to have fireworks again this year at dusk. If you leave the park and come back, just show your program to get back in the gate. Otherwise, Gate admission is $5 per vehicle at the entrance gate. Parking will be around the baseball field. You will be allowed to walk up the bridge to the top of the hill in the Food Court area to visit the Food Vendors, until 7 pm., before the fireworks start at dusk.The Grand Bay Watermelon Festival is an annual family fun event with an Open Car Show, Rides, Games, Arts & Crafts Vendors, Food Vendors, entertainment, and all the free, sliced, ice cold watermelon you can eat (on July 4th only).We are looking for Sponsors that will sponsor our children's rides so that we can make them more affordable. Fourth of July Celebration: America’s 250th Anniversary
USS Alabama Battleship Memorial ParkJoin us for the City of Mobile's 4th of July Celebration, honoring America's 250th anniversary! On Saturday, July 4 from 5:30-9:30 p.m., enjoy live music, food trucks, local vendors, nonprofits, games, family-friendly activities, and a breathtaking fireworks show at USS Alabama Battleship Memorial Park. Entertainment ScheduleDJ GeauxThe Six Piece Suits (6:30-7:30 p.m.)The Kazzettes (7:45-9 p.m.)Fireworks show (9 p.m.) Admission to the Fourth of July Celebration is free, but there are fees to park. Parking will cost $10 per car and $30 per RV (cash only). You may reserve your spot in advance starting May 4. If you purchase a presale parking ticket, you will be able to park as early as 4 p.m. on the day of the event. No parking will be allowed after 8:15 p.m. Re-entry is permitted with parking pass; however, parking availability may be limited once the lot reaches capacity. Blankets and lawn chairs are encouraged for seating, and don't forget to pack sunscreen and to stay hydrated! Coolers are allowed, but glass containers and alcohol are not. Kick the end-of-summer blues at Mobile Museum of Art’s Back-to-School Family Day! Thanks to our sponsors at Spire, MMoA is hosting a free backpack giveaway for students in kindergarten and up, providing essential supplies to help everyone start the school year strong. The rest of the morning is packed with creative fun, from hands-on family art classes and face painting to an Elements of Art Scavenger Hunt. You can also visit the Mobile Public Library Bookmobile in the circle drive or join us for a guided Stroller Tour through the Handle with Care and Aminah Robinson exhibitions. With recurring Story Time LIVE! performances and gallery activities throughout the event, there’s plenty to keep the whole family inspired. The backpack giveaway begins at 10 am and lasts until supplies are gone. Backpacks will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis, and students must be present to collect them. One backpack per student.
