Join us for the 15th annual Children’s Cup Regatta on Saturday, June 6 at the Fairhope Yacht Club, a day on the water bringing together sailing, community, and support for Children’s of Alabama. This family-friendly event is open to the public and features sailboat racing on Mobile Bay, a silent auction, live music, dinner, and activities for all ages. Whether you’re racing, cruising, or cheering from shore, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Youth Kickball & Futsal | FREE Sports Clinic Join Parks and Recreation for a fun and active Youth Kickball & Futsal Clinic! This FREE clinic is designed for boys and girls (Aged 4 - 17years old) to learn the basics of two exciting sports while building teamwork, confidence, and athletic skills in a positive environment. Participants will practice fundamental skills such as kicking, dribbling, passing, coordination, and game play through fun, structured activities and scrimmages. Join us for Sensory Day at the Exploreum! This time is designed to create a calmer, more supportive hands-on experience for guests with special needs and sensory sensitivities. From 9–10 AM on Saturday, June 6th, select exhibits will be open with lower lighting and reduced sound levels to provide a more comfortable environment for exploration. During this time, guests can visit: – Hands On Hall – Curiosity Factory – Wharf of Wonder All ages are welcome in Wharf of Wonder during Sensory Day hours. Our Education Team will also offer sensory-friendly science demos and we will be showing the film, Superpower Dogs, at 10:20 AM in the PCI Digital Dome Theater at a lower volume to support guests who are sensitive to sound. (The Animation Academy and Tiny Titans exhibit will be available to all at 10 AM due to our Member Preview event coinciding with Sensory Day.) A partnership with the Dauphin Island Sea Lab and the Manatee Sighting Network, this cruise explores the habitat in Mobile Bay and Dog River where rare sightings of manatees have been documented. We will learn about these gentle giants and what draws them to these waters. Manatee sightings are extraordinarily rare, so it is unlikely we will see one. Join Mobile Museum of Art for an afternoon of local shopping, live music, food trucks, art activities, and free admission to the Museum. June Free Sunday – Founders Day at Colonial Fort Condé Step back into 1700s Mobile at Founders Day on Sunday, June 7, 2026, from 1–5 PM at Colonial Fort Condé! Meet the founders of Mobile — Iberville, Bienville, De Tonti, and De Graaf — along with the city’s “Founding Mothers,” the Pelican Girls. Through lively conversations and interactive demonstrations, discover what life was really like in colonial Mobile and how these early settlers helped shape our city’s history. Enjoy exciting military drills, explore the weapons and trade of the 1700s, and learn how French settlers adapted their cooking traditions to the North American climate and ingredients. Bring the whole family for an afternoon of fun learning experiences and living history demonstrations. Admission is free! Also, make sure to stop by the Phoenix Fire Museum for a free architectural tour, and the History Museum of Mobile for some exciting America 250 activities featuring the Mobile Belles Leadership Program and our Education team!
