Alabama Deep Sea Fishing Rodeo
Dauphin IslandThe 93rd Alabama Deep Sea Fishing Rodeo will be held July 17-19, 2026. The ADSFR is a 3-day Captain’s Choice tournament and a Southern Kingfish Association (SKA) sanctioned event. The total awards package is valued up to one million dollars in cash and prizes and anchored by a boat, motor, and trailer packages. The 3-day event features 33 categories with prizes awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in all categories plus Most Unusual Species and lionfish. One Master Angler is also awarded along with cash prizes for King Mackerel, Speckled Trout, Red Snapper and Big Game Jackpots.
MOB Puzzle Showdown
James Seals Community Center 540 Texas StreetJoin us for the MOB Puzzle Showdown on Saturday, July 18 starting at 8:30 a.m.! Team up with friends or make new ones as you race to solve identical puzzles for trophies, prizes, and bragging rights. This family-friendly event features two divisions: Youth Team (5-17) | 2-3 kids per team, adult coach optional, costs $15 per team Adult Team (18+) | 2-4 adults per team, costs $30 per team Each youth team will complete a 350-piece puzzle, and each adult team will complete a 500-piece puzzle. Light refreshments will be provided, but feel free to bring your own snacks if you prefer. Due to limited tables, you must register ahead of time. Walk-ins are not allowed. Gulf State Park Nature CenterWhether your young explorer is already working on their Junior Ranger certification or wants to get started today, join us for a stroll along Lake Shelby to learn about wetlands, the creatures you will find there, and discover what Junior Rangers can do to help protect it.
