The 15th Annual Mobile Chocolate is a wonderful, one day family fun event! There will be vendors offering samples of their chocolate-related products as well as selling their products. Vendors vary from having chocolate-themed wares to succulent confections to jewelry to bath and body products. Also free activities featured: Children’s Area, Mobile Fixture’s “Decorate Your Apron” Booth, Cupcake Booth, Chocolate Martini tasting, Fishing Booth, and Magic Memories Photo Booth; enjoy live music, Chocolate Challenge featuring professionals, amateurs, and youth divisions, Project Yum Way where students and aspiring designers participate in a fashion display of chocolate inspired fashions made from chocolate candy wrappers, Cruise-In, and the Easter Egg Scramble!

Braided River's Run Club meets every Thursday at 6 p.m.! This public run club is open to all levels and ability, including walkers, marathoners, kids and even dogs. You can choose from a 5K or 1-mile route, both of which take off from the taproom at 6 p.m. Join Downtown Runners United By Beer afterward in the taproom for raffles, camaraderie and ice-cold craft beer!

Mobile Parks and Recreation Department is proud to announce the launch of the new STREAM program, our unique take on the STEM Mobile program many of you have come to love, but featuring elements of Recreation and Art! We are debuting our program on Saturday, April 19 at the Alabama School of Math and Science, and focusing on the theme of Forensic Science. Participants in grades K-8 are invited to: Become a forensic reconstruction artist for the day! The Mama Village is a FREE motherhood support group for mamas with babies aged 0-2.The group is facilitated by perinatal therapist Morgan Bradwell, LICSW, PMH-C of Village Therapy Collective & perinatal chiropractor Dr. Tiffany Jones, DC of Liberation Chiropractic & Wellness. We meet once a month on Fridays from 12-1pm at Redbar Espresso. Buying a coffee, smoothie, or lunch from Redbar is encouraged as a way of thanking them for freely offering us a space to meet. Pro tip - get to Redbar a few minutes early to place your order before their lunch rush! Babies welcome!! If you have a toddler, we do suggest bringing some small activities for them to play with. Alright, friends, it's time to mark your calendars for our next installment of our  Spring Movies in the Park ! This time we are taking the fun to Heroes Park, located at 7171 Old Military Road in Theodore, where we will be showing the live-action feature film  Disney's The Lion King ! The movie will begin promptly at dusk, however, we have some great pre-movie entertainment planned for our guests!  For example, in honor of The Lion KING, we will have ROYALTY in the house in the form of two youth dance teams (Mobile Royal Heat and R.O.Y.A.L. IMPRINT) who will be performing African dance!  We will also have Mr. Wayne Curtis of the Mobile Alabama Africatown Drummers there to provide the perfect background beats for the event!  And of course, we will have free popcorn, lawn games, face-painting, and more fun activities for the kiddos!
