We will have a variety of adaptive bikes for youth and adults to try out and take for a ride on the trail. Already have your own bike? Bring it and join us to help celebrate the trail! You can also sign up or log your miles for the free 100 Alabama Miles Challenge program and grab a T-shirt! Lakeshore Foundation will provide adaptive bikes, helmets, and safety flags for youth and adults to try and ride. Available bikes will include hand cycles and recumbent trikes for adults and youth. Kids Yoga ages (3- 11) is based on the Karma Kids Yoga Program that encourages children to "play" yoga and experience how their breath and body move together in a fun-filled way! The philosophy of teaching yoga to children provides kids with a variety of yoga tools that they can take away from class and use throughout their lives. Animals, nature and other objects come alive in this class; as we move, we learn to stretch our bodies in new creative ways. Through yoga poses, games, activities, music and stories, we promote strength, flexibility, coordination, and body awareness. Breathing and visualization techniques teach focus, relaxation and self-control. This class promotes inner-strength, confidence and self-esteem; a feeling of well-being and respect for others; and, love for one's self, inside and out. Studio will provide mat for class. Music and a Movie returns to Heritage Park in Downtown Foley for four Fridays in April and May, beginning April 17. The popular Foley event kicks off at 6 p.m. with live entertainment and a variety of inflatables for the kids, followed by a movie at dusk.
