City of Mobile Parks and Recreation Department Presents: Mob-tober Fest: A Fall Festival!! Saturday October 28, 2023 Fall Festival: 3-9PM *NEW LOCATION* James Seals Community Center & Park 540 Texas Street A Family-Friendly Night Filled with something for everyone!! Check out the schedule below: FREE FAMILY FUN: 3-6PM Join us for a full day of fun and entertainment including a live DJ, favorite characters, and bounce house inflatables! TRAIL OF TREATS: 3-6PM It wouldn't be Halloween without candy and we'll have plenty of it! Enjoy trick-or-treating all festival long. We'll even have limited treats for your pups. DRESS UP TO WIN: 4:30PM Be sure to register for our all-ages costume contest. We'll have several winning categories, including pets! Our pet contest begins at 4:30pm. Humans, ghouls & ghosts begin at 5:00PM. Categories include: Most Creative, Scariest, Best Team/Group, Funniest, and Most Original. Winners will receive an award and have their photo taken! Registration is required in order to participate. It is completely free to sign up! *Registration for Pet and Human Costume Contests closed on October 20th. DANCE THE NIGHT AWAY: 6-9PM Don't miss TRISH MAY & THE PLATINUM CAFE! Bring your blankets and chairs and relax with us!   This is a rain or shine event. Down the Bay History Day

Join us for our third celebration of Down the Bay history! We'll be sharing interviews from the Down the Bay Oral History Project, historic photos of Down the Bay from the McCall Library archives, and artifacts from the I-10 Mobile River Bridge Archaeology Project. Browse displays about different themes from Down the Bay History, connect with friends, and share your memories of the neighborhood. Lunch will be provided. This event is free and open to the public. The City of Mobile is home to Mardi Gras! Join us for the Annual Lighting of the Mardi Gras Tree! Let the Good Times Roll with some festive Mardi Gras music from "The Juke Box Brass Band" as we Light the Tree to Celebrate the Season! Bring a chair or blanket and your favorite snacks and beverages for the concert.
