Bee More- Festival

Get ready for the 2nd Annual Bee More Festival Weekend—a one-day celebration of honey bees, pollinators, science, agriculture, music, and community in Downtown Atmore!

Made possible through the Science Discovery on Main Street Initiative, supported by The Simons Foundation and Main Street America, Main Street Atmore was selected as one of only seven Main Street America Implementation Grant to develop science-based public programming. Main Street Atmore has partnered with Escambia County Extension Service and Coastal Alabama Community College (Atmore Campus) to create an educational day all about bees!

Bee More Weekend brings together beekeepers, educators, scientists, local businesses, families, and visitors for an experience that is educational, entertaining, and uniquely Atmore.

Bee More is more than a festival. It is an opportunity to bring science out of traditional classrooms and into the heart of Downtown Atmore while celebrating the agricultural and environmental resources that make our community special.

The Science Discovery on Main Street grant also supports future hands-on STEM programming, pollinator gardens, and educational signage that will continue creating learning opportunities in Downtown Atmore beyond the festival weekend.
