Toddler Gift Guide
Wondering what to get the kids for Christmas this year? I have a few ideas for you. After such an insane year, I suspect a lot of parents are looking forward to the holiday season with their loved ones. While we are still recovering from all the worldly happenings, we hope the holidays will bring joy and cheer to those we love, which is why being Santa is so much fun.
Personally, I am not an extravagant gift giver when it comes to my toddlers. They are just not at an age to care enough about what’s in the box versus the box itself. This year my oldest will be four and really getting into it for the first time, meaning he really knows what he wants and has been very specific. All of my kids typically engage the longest with the imaginative play toys, such as, superhero figures, dinosaurs, cars, blocks, etc. With that said, this list will be fairly practical. I hope if you buy something on this list it creates many happy moments with your little(s). When you are searching for that perfect gift, keep in mind every kid has specific likes and dislikes. My boys like dinosaurs and superheroes, but maybe yours likes trucks and animals. I tried to incorporate things that could possibly be tailored to their specific interests. I hope this helps. Merry shopping mamas!

Top List for Toddlers (Ages 2 to 4 range)
1. LeapFrog Leapstart Interactive Learning System. You can’t really go wrong with any of their products. They have a lot to choose from including books and tablets. My kids have learned so much playing with some of these toys on a daily basis. The triplets recently got the Leapstarts for their second birthday, but big brother also loves using them. You can add different levels of books for specific age ranges, which is a perk for moms with children a few years apart. There is a 3D version available as well, but most of the books are compatible with either style.
2. Fisher-Price Little People Launch and Loop Raceway. My house is full of Hot Wheels. My boys have played with them since they could only sit up and crawl. However, I know a lot of moms that worry their kids are not ready for Hot Wheels at one or two years old. The little people track is an awesome alternative! My son’s preschool had a version of this and all the kids loved it. This particular track is great for one or more kids.
3. Mega Bloks First Builders Build ‘n Learn Table with Big Building Blocks. All four of my littles love to build stuff just to tear it down. This table is perfect for the smaller toddlers. My four year old has definitely outgrown this, but that leads me to my next pick.
4. Magnetic tiles, any set. I discovered these awesome magnetic tiles while on a play date one day and I can not wait to get them in my house. They are so cool and come in a lot of different sets for building specific structures. While the two year olds may like them because they stick together, I suspect my big boy will actually build specific structures.
5. VTech Touch and Learn Activity Desk Deluxe. This toy does a little bit of everything which makes it great as a “main” gift for toddlers. You could add a lot of accessories as additional gifts.
6. Yvolution Y Velo Junior Toddler Bike. I can not tell you how many moms rave over these balance bikes! I think they are so cute and outdoor fun is my favorite kind of fun.
7. Jasonwell Aqua Magic Doodle Mat 40 X 32 Inches Extra Large Water Drawing Doodling Mat Coloring Mat. Another idea discovered on a playdate. Depending on how big your kids are or how many you have, you could get a smaller one. This size is great for multiple children.
8. Kinetic Sand kit. I highly recommend this awesome sand over playdough. While I think playdough is great for kids that don’t rub it into their clothes and carpet and any type of upholstery, I do not have toddlers like that. This sand doesn’t rub into things and can easily be wiped or vacuumed up.
9. Melissa and Doug floor puzzles and/or BEESTECH Beginner Dinosaur Puzzles. These puzzles are so great for kids. I love watching/helping my boys put them together. They’re great as a rainy day activity for everyone.
10. No mess coloring set. This is risk free entertainment. I can leave them in a room with long enough to get some laundry folded.
11. Little Tikes Tball set. We have had ours for a couple of years. It is still an everyday favorite for outside. (They make a pink one for girls too.)
12. Lydaz Bubble Mower for Toddlers, Kids Bubble Blower Machine Lawn Games. This is another outside favorite. They like to make the bubbles themselves and it helps them run off some energy.
13. Li’l-Gen Dinosaur Toys for Boys and Girls 3 Years Old & Up – Realistic Looking 7″ Dinosaurs, Pack of 12 Animal Dinosaur Figures with Dinosaur Sound Book (Dinosaur Set with Sound Book). For the dinosaur lovers out there, this is a great starter set! We have lots of dinosaur toys and this is still a favorite.
14. VTech Smart Shots Sports Center. I have not found a single kid (boy or girl) that did not love this sports center from VTech. With the flashy lights, sounds and lots of little buttons, this one will keep the kids entertained for awhile!
15. KidiBeats Kids Drum Set. This one is great for sensory play. Not only is it fun for kids but it is also educational. Kids can learn letters, numbers and phonics all while playing along to different beats.
