The Mama Village Monthly Meet Up

The Mama Village is a FREE group for moms of kiddos aged 0-2! LODA ArtWalk

This August, celebrate White Linen Night at LODA ArtWalk with an unforgettable evening of creativity, community, and fun in the heart of Downtown Mobile! We encourage you to dress in summer white attire to enjoy a live performance by the Excelsior Band in Cathedral Square, shop local artists and makers along Dauphin Street, and explore unique vendors, food trucks, and interactive experiences from 6-9 p.m. Bring the whole family to enjoy hands-on crafts, face painting, and other activities at the Kids’ Zone. Turtle Talk

August 15 | Gulf State Park Nature Center, 22120 Campground Road, Gulf Shores AL 36542 | 9a-10a

Drop by between 9:00-10:00 AM to meet fascinating freshwater and terrestrial turtles as they get some enrichment. Our staff will share fun facts about their habitats, behaviors, and the important role they play in our ecosystem. It’s the perfect way to start your day with a little sunshine and some turtle talk! Cost: There is a $5 fee per vehicle to enter the campground, where the Nature Center is locatedCampground/Cabin guest do not have to pay gate fee.

STREAM – Mission Mars

August 15 | Mardi Gras Park | 9a-10:30a

Get ready for liftoff! Kids ages 5-13 will build their own solar-powered Mars rovers and tackle the challenges scientists face when planning a colony on the Red Planet. This FREE, hands-on STREAM event invites young explorers to experiment problem-solve, and imagine what it takes to live on Mars.

The event takes place at Mardi Gras Park from 9 AM – 10:30 AM, with the Back to School Bash happening afterwards! Check-in begins at 8:30! You must pre register here: Program: Mardi Gras Park – STREAM – Mission: Mars

Lowes Kids – Paw Patrol: The Dino Movie Workshop

Dog Days of Summer at the Exploreum

Dog Days of Summer at the Exploreum! Celebrate man’s best friend with us on Saturday, August 15, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM for a tail-wagging day of fun at the Exploreum Science Center! Bring the whole family to enjoy dog-themed activities, live demonstrations, local vendors, and even the chance to meet your newest four-legged family member through a pet adoption with Wags & Whiskers. Please note: Guest pets are not permitted at this event. Service animals are always welcome.

GeekFest Semmes

A family-friendly, impression, comedy and magic show! Discover the many faces of Brandon Styles in this year-round Variety Show. Sprinkled with just the right amount of comedy and magic to make this a great entertainment hour for all ages. Brandon Styles LIVE at OWA is a classy show that has something for the whole family! Sea Shell Discovery

Stop by the Nature Center between 10-11:00 AM to discover facts about the various marine species that inhabit the gulf waters. Bring along any beach treasures you’ve collected, and we’ll assist you in identifying and learning more about them. This hands-on experience offers a unique opportunity to learn more about the beach you love!
