The gates will open to the public from 3 pm until 7 pm on July 3rd. Gate entrance/parking on July 3rd is free. We will have Music, Rides, Food Vendors, and Arts & Crafts Vendors, but NO WATERMELON on the 3rd.Grand Bay Watermelon Festival Programs will also be available for purchase on July 3rd for $5, which you can show at the gate on July 4th for your vehicle admission. Festival T-shirts will also be for sale.July 4th - Gate admission is just $5 per vehicle for parking at the entrance gate. Times and groups the Gates will be open on July 4th: Vendors and Car Show entrants - from 8 am; General Public - 9:30 am. Festival Vendors (except Food Vendors) will close at 5 pm and all patrons must be out of the roadways so vendors can get back to their booths at 5 pm.We plan to have fireworks again this year at dusk. Fourth of July Celebration: America’s 250th Anniversary

On Saturday, July 4 from 5:30-9:30 p.m., enjoy live music, food trucks, local vendors, nonprofits, games, family-friendly activities, and a breathtaking fireworks show at USS Alabama Battleship Memorial Park. Entertainment ScheduleDJ GeauxThe Six Piece Suits (6:30-7:30 p.m.)The Kazzettes (7:45-9 p.m.)Fireworks show (9 p.m.) Admission to the Fourth of July Celebration is free, but there are fees to park. Parking will cost $10 per car and $30 per RV (cash only). You may reserve your spot in advance starting May 4. If you purchase a presale parking ticket, you will be able to park as early as 4 p.m. on the day of the event. No parking will be allowed after 8:15 p.m. Re-entry is permitted with parking pass; however, parking availability may be limited once the lot reaches capacity. Blankets and lawn chairs are encouraged for seating, and don't forget to pack sunscreen and to stay hydrated! Coolers are allowed, but glass containers and alcohol are not. Revolutionary War Reenactment + 1976 Time Capsule Opening
Colonial Fort CondeJoin the History Museum of Mobile and Colonial Fort Condé on Sunday, July 5, 2026, for a special celebration of American history featuring a Revolutionary War reenactment and the opening of a 50-year-old time capsule. At 4:00 p.m., experience The Capture of Captain James Willing, Colonial Fort Condé's annual Independence Day living history program. Watch as interpreters bring to life the story of Captain James Willing, a Continental Navy officer whose actions brought the American Revolution to British-occupied Mobile. The program includes a full reading of the Declaration of Independence, live musket demonstrations, period clothing, and audience interaction. Then at 5:00 p.m., witness history as the 1976 Colonial Fort Condé Time Capsule is opened for the first time in 50 years. Buried during America's Bicentennial celebrations, the capsule will be opened in honor of America250 and the 50th anniversary of the reconstructed Colonial Fort Condé. Protect Double D’s at the Fort (Kids’ Play Night)
Double D's Burgers Spanish Fort, ALCome out and bring boxes, water balloons, and water blasters, and let’s protect the fort! At 6 PM, we will set up and build a fort. Everyone start saving and bringing those boxes to Double D's to use for building multiple forts. At 6:20 PM, let's go! Everyone grab water balloons and have the best evening. I will have kiddie pools set up throughout the field to refill blasters or grab more balloons. After you work up an appetite, come out and grab a burger at Double D's. Bring a blanket or chair and enjoy your burgers while watching a movie on the big screen, but keep your eyes ready to dodge snowballs or maybe just popcorn flying in the sky!

Fleet Feet MobileJoin us for the coolest fun run of the summer! Beat the heat on McGregor Hill, then return to the store for all sorts of free, fun activities for the whole family. While this event is FREE, please register using the "Tickets" link so we can get an accurate headcount. Demo new shoes from Mizuno, including the Wave Rider 30 and Wave Inspire 22. Spray paint a T-shirt with our custom race logo stencil. Popsicle Balance Dance-Off: balance a popsicle on your head while you complete a line dance - the last popsicle standing wins! Kid's Race in the parking lot. Must be 10 years old or younger. Costume Contest: come dressed in your best popsicle-themed outfit. Raffle drawing: Earn 1 raffle ticket for every $10 spent in-store before 9:30 AM! Injury Assessments: the Center for Balance and Rehabilitation with be on-site before and after the run for hands-on assessments by Physical Therapist, Erica Dekle.
