Your support provides diets, vet care, and enrichment to keep the animals active and healthy. It also allows the zoo the opportunity to continue educational programs in the community that help people engage with wildlife and encourage them to protect the world around them. Each year, the AGCZ conservation committee chooses a conservation effort that we can educate guests about and raise funds to help their cause. This year, a portion of the proceeds from the event will be donated to SAFE (Saving Animals From Extinction) American Red Wolf Program. This year, the Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo was the first zoo in the state to become a partner facility in the SAFE American Red Wolf Program, caring for these animals until they are ready to be paired for future breeding or released into the wild.
