The Lightning Thief
Joe Jefferson Playhouse 11 S Carlen, Mobile, AlabamaThe Lightning Thief Shows - September 25 & 26 at 7 pm & September 27 at 2 pm Performances at Joe Jefferson Playhouse, 11 South Carlen Street As the half-blood son of a Greek god, Percy Jackson has newly-discovered powers he can’t control, a destiny he doesn’t want, and a mythology textbook’s worth of monsters on his trail. When Zeus”s master lightning bolt is stolen and Percy becomes the prime suspect, he has to find and return the bolt to prove his innocence and prevent a war between the gods. But to succeed on his quest, Percy will have to do more than catch the thief. He must travel to the Underworld and back; solve the riddle of the Oracle, which warns him of betrayal by a friend; and come to terms with the father who abandoned him.

Gather your family and friends for an evening of music, beautiful floral arrangements, and fall fun in the heart of our community. The Mobile Symphonic Pops Band will bring its “Spooky” program to life with the whimsy of classical scores and the sounds of the season, alongside the Spanish Fort Garden Club. "Pops by the Pond" - Fall Concert & Floral Show Sunday, September 27, 2026 Doors Open: 5:00 PM Concert: 6:00 PM Spanish Fort Community Center 7361 Spanish Fort Blvd., Spanish Fort, AL 36527 Come early to visit and meet the members of the Spanish Fort Garden Club. The first 70 families to arrive will receive a bud vase of flowers, and two lucky families will have the chance to take home a larger floral arrangement. Door prize winners will be announced at the end of intermission and must be present to win. Bring your lawn chairs, blankets, and a picnic, and settle in for a beautiful fall evening together. This free event is open to the whole family. We can’t wait to welcome autumn and enjoy an evening of music, flowers, and community with you!
