Join Mobile Museum of Art for an afternoon of local shopping, live music, food trucks, art activities, and free admission to the Museum. Vendors will be offering a variety of handmade items, such as jewelry, pottery, self-care products, and more. Enjoy live, local music, and tasty treats will be available from a variety of food trucks. During the Open House, the whole family can gather in our Education Wing to create an art project together. The Museum will also have galleries full of masterworks by renowned artists in special exhibitions, including JUAN LOGAN: Without Stopping, Vuzumazulu: The Black Solarium — An Abantu Cultural Expose by Abaddon “Apollo” Ben Yakongo, CRYPTIC UNDER WING: Glass and Mixed Media by Rachel Wright, and Fantastical Forest. Admission to the Museum will be free all day in addition to the afternoon activities.

Then, set out on a thrilling scavenger hunt, following the trail to uncover hidden waypoints and complete your quest. Once you've checked off every challenge, return to Base Camp where "X" marks the spot to claim your well-earned reward! After your adventure, stick around to enjoy music from DJ Matt and witness the SPECTRA Laser Light Experience. Ready your maps and sharpen your skills—it’s time to blaze the trail for a great cause. City of Bayou La Batre’s 70th Incorporation Celebration

Don’t miss out on a wonderful day filled with fun and community spirit! The parade will kick off at Alba Middle School with Grand Marshal George C. Wallace, Jr., at 10 a.m. and will end at the Bayou La Batre Community Center. Kids will enjoy the jumpy houses, while food lovers can savor delicious dishes from La Taqueria, Twist Sushi, Somo Ice, and La Fruteria food trucks. Look for updates as more food trucks may be added to the lineup! Additionally, enjoy live music from the fantastic band Journey2Mars from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Bring your family and invite old friends to join in the celebration of the Bayou! Mark your calendars—you won’t want to miss this event!Once the parade ends, community members may enjoy family-oriented activities and live entertainment by the band Journey to Mars, which will be at the Bayou La Batre Community Center for the remainder of the afternoon.
