Tales and Trails in the Gardens Preschool Storytime Returns! This fall, Tales and Trails preschool storytime returns to Mobile Botanical Gardens through the generous support of the Lilian S. Woolford Charitable Trust. Join us on Thursday mornings beginning at 10:30 am in various locations throughout MBG’s 106 acres to enjoy preschool storytime together. MBG Docents will read aloud specially selected stories and lead nature-based activities perfect for preschoolers. Parents and children alike will learn and have fun in our gorgeous garden setting.

Join us for our 4th annual Christmas in the Park event! Immediately following the parade we will begin with our Lighting of the Tree ceremony and Festival of Trees celebration. There will also be food trucks, a gaming truck, face painting, live music, and of course Santa and Mrs. Claus! Please bring a camera or cell phone to take pictures with Santa in his sleigh and a chair to enjoy the entertainment. 7:00 p.m.

Step back in time and celebrate Christmas at Colonial Fort Condé on Saturday, December 14 from 2-5pm. This event is FREE for visitors of all ages! Enjoy snacks, cider, and hot cocoa while watching special holiday performances on the lawn featuring handbell solo artist, Danny Lyons, the Saraland Elementary Choir, Azalea City Harmony, Corpus Christi Middle School Choir, and Mobile Bay Acapella. Children can visit Santa, write him a letter, and paint their own toys in the Toy Workshop. Create a beautiful, aromatic orange-clove pomander ornament and be sure to stop by the Silhouettes and Such table for a custom hand-cut paper silhouette portrait! Holiday Ornaments Make and Take! Please join us on Saturday morning, December 14th, 10am until noon, for a holiday ornaments make and take. Cookies and refreshments will also be served. We will create several nature-inspired ornaments for your tree or to give as gifts. Planned ornaments include cornstarch dough with pressed flowers, pinecone ornaments, woven yarn trees and a button reindeer. Get ready to embrace the holiday spirit at the  MPRD Christmas Extravaganza , in partnership with shoe designer Tyler Bailey and Al Harris Construction! Taking place on Saturday, December 14 at James Seals Community Center, this magical day promises fun for kids and adults alike! Unleash your creativity at various craft stations in Santa's Workshop, bounce your way through our exciting inflatables, dance to the upbeat tunes spun by our lively DJ, and of course, no winter celebration is complete without a special visit from Santa himself!  Additionally, there will be a family-friendly holiday film playing in a separate room for those who prefer a more quiet yet enjoyable experience!
