Community Safety Day is coming to Downtown OWA on August 22nd, and it’s all about celebrating the people and organizations that keep our community safe and strong! Spend the day meeting local first responders from across the area, watching K-9 training demonstrations, and enjoying a live DJ on OWA Island. Don’t miss the Heroes Hunger Games, where first responders go head-to-head in friendly competition. Braided River's Run Club meets every Thursday at 6 p.m.! This public run club is open to all levels and ability, including walkers, marathoners, kids and even dogs. Dinosaur Adventure with be at the Mobile Convention Center for one weekend only, August 29 & 30, 2026. The experience features life-sized animatronic dinosaurs, hands-on fossil digs, themed obstacle courses, dinosaur rides, and interactive raptor training sessions designed for young children.
