Surge Church invites businesses, organizations, and groups to participate in our community’s Christmas Parade. Participation is based exclusively on the ability of the businesses, organizations and groups to provide appropriate family entertainment suitable to the occasion.

The MAGIC is returning this holiday season at Eastern Shore Centre! Join us for All is Bright  Bring the entire family out on Saturday, December 13th from 6-8 PM to enjoy the Spanish Fort City parade and to help us welcome Santa to The Centre! Following the parade, join us on the green space near California Dreaming for a tree lighting ceremony, live music, pop-up vendors, photo booth, kids activities, and maybe even a little snow!

Eastern Shore Art Center Opens the New Year with First Friday Art Walk! Join ESAC for a Permanent Collection take-over of ALL galleries! NEW EXHIBIT: Herman BischoffThe Art Center’s largest gallery focuses on the work of late artist Herman Bischoff, a long-time supporter of ESAC's mission. Exhibited paintings show his breadth of work from horses at the polo fields to figure illustration. NEW EXHIBIT: Pinky Bass and FriendsA recent addition to the ESAC Permanent Collection is a selection of Pinky Bass artwork from the 2024 exhibit “THREAD OF (dis)INTEGRATION” originally displayed at the Alabama Contemporary Art Center. A major part of that exhibit was a collaboration between Pinky and various Fairhope/Mobile artists, including two large Coptic bound books. Featured artists within the Permanent Collection also including Mannie Pair, Frank Caperton, Jean Lawrence, Michael Banks and much more. NEW EXHIBIT: Members’ Sales GalleryWorks by ESAC’s Artist Level Members and above. This gallery changes out every two months and features all sorts of art mediums, all for sale! McGregor Avenue is *finally* open and we're having a fun run to celebrate!  Join us on the first Saturday of the New Year for a 1.6 mile walk or 3.6 mile run up our newly renovated street. We'll have a hot chocolate bar when you get back at the store, plus some fun goodies and mystery bags for our raffle.   Routes: 1.6 Mile walk: head up McGregor and turn back at the new roundabout on Dauphin St. 3.6 Mile run: head up McGregor and turn back at Old Shell Rd.  Event Schedule: 8:00 AM - Fun Run Sign-in: check in at the store and drop off belongings. 8:15 AM - Fun Run Start: runners and walkers leave from the store and head up McGregor Ave. 9:30 AM - Raffle prizes: Earn 1 raffle ticket for every $10 spent in-store before 9:30 AM!  Bring a friend and let's check out the new road!

LODA ArtWalk Celebrates National Hobby Month

LODA ArtWalk is a free monthly event that showcases our visual, performing, and culinary arts community. This January, we're celebrating National Hobby Month! Join us to explore local vendors, nonprofits, live music, and captivating art from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday, January 9. There will be fun, hands-on hobby activities for all ages, and Kids Zone will feature DIY craft projects.

If you missed out on our recent drawing for a free farm tour, we have something for you! Next Saturday, 1/10/25 we have decided to have an open farm day for anyone who would like to come meet baby Christmas, and the rest of our amazing animals! You will be able to book time slots to come out and meet: -Miniature highland Cows, including our newest calf Tootsie -Alpacas -Miniature donkeys -Miniature horses, Elsa and Onna -goats, including our newest baby Christmas -Sheep -Draft horses -Bunnies, including newest babies! -Mini pigs, and our new baby Puma -chickens -ride our sweet pony, Heira! (100lbs and under please) You can go inside most of the enclosures and pet/feed the animals! We will sell a limited number of tickets each hour to avoid crowding. Tickets will cost $15 and children 2 and under are free! As of now the weather looks like it will not rain until late evening Saturday. If it looks like rain we will have options for refunds or rescheduling!
