Help us celebrate Earth Day as we collaborate with the Japanese Gardens for a family fun recycled art activity. Visitors will use recyclable materials like plastic and paper bags to create a Koinobori, also known as a Carp (or Koi in Japanese) Windsock in celebration of Japan’s National Children’s Day where families fly giant carp windsocks on flagpoles next to their homes from April to May as a symbol of perseverance, hoping their children will be as spirited and determined as the strong carp that swims upstream through powerful waterfalls. Starts at 1p.m.

Date: Saturday, April 20, 2024 Time: 10:30 AM-1:30 PM Price: $45.99 adults/$35.99 kids 12 and under   Departing from the Blakeley dock, we’ll venture through one of the nation’s most biodiverse ecosystems as we wind our way to the popular Bluegill Restaurant on the Mobile Causeway. Afterwards we will take an alternate route back to the park as we keep an eye out for some of the area’s famed wildlife, such as alligators, ospreys, bald eagles, and numerous other species of plants and animals unique to this area. Enjoy this special cruise from the comfort of the Delta Explorer, our covered pontoon boat equipped with bench seating and a restroom.
