Child Safety Day

Join us Saturday, April 5, from 1-4 p.m. at Spanish Fort Community Center for USA Health Child Safety Day. Free car seat checks, free youth heart screenings and a limited number of free car seats* will be given away for those who qualify and have a child present. More for the kids: police car, fire truck and emergency transport vehicle tours, and a powerline safety scene.
Inside the venue will be free youth heart screenings with Heart for Athletes, CPR/AED demonstrations, and more than 25 vendors. Topics include pediatric mental health, autism network, USA Health pediatrics, University Hospital trauma-Stop the bleed, Safe Kids South Alabama featuring gun locks and water safety, Coast Guard-boating safety, Infant survival swim, drug education council, safe sleep, child life-how to help your child cope with a hospitalization, USA Health Center for Healthy Communities, Alabama Forestry Commission, USA Health Women’s services, and internet and social media safety.
*Please note: Car seats will be given while supplies last, child must be present for installation, and passport card must have at least 6 stickers from inside vendors
