The Starry Messenger: Mapping Galileo’s Discoveries
On Saturday, March 7, join us from 10:00 AM – 11:30 AM for a special Atrium Explorers event! We’ve teamed up with our friends at the History Museum of Mobile to bring the wonders of the cosmos to life through a hands-on space mosaic craft.
Did you know that Galileo was the first to see the Moon’s craters and the moons of Jupiter? He changed the way we see the universe forever, and now it’s your turn! Using a galaxy of colorful paper materials, you can “map the stars” just like a Renaissance scientist.
Whether you’re recreating the rugged surface of the Moon or the swirling colors of a distant planet, your masterpiece is waiting to be built. It’s the perfect way to dive into our newest Galileo exhibit through art, history, and a whole lot of creativity!
