Just because school will be back in session, doesn’t mean all of the fun has to stop. We are excited about several of these and hope you are too! We hope you are able to utilize this list to find fun family friendly activities in the Mobile and surrounding areas. Please note that cancellations, admission fees, and time changes are possible. We gather our information from public websites and create this list as a courtesy, as we are not affiliated with the events. Please verify details with the links provided before heading out to any events listed below. We try to keep the information as accurate as possible to make it easy for you to plan fun for your family around town. We consistently add to this list throughout the month, so be sure to check back and follow us on our social sites!
Every Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday for the month of August-
Cuts for Kids, hosted by Remington College Mobile Campus. Mondays from 10am-2pm. Any student 17 and under can stop by or make an appointment for a FREE haircut.

We Don’t Talk About… Dance camp– Located at Susan’s Academy of Dance, Inc, from 9am to 12pm. Encanto themed dance class for ages 3-12. The child will receive a Mirabel dress to take home after the performance. Fee is $145 per child.
Thursday, August 4 – Sunday, August 6
JCMF 24th Annual Professional Rodeo– Located at the City of Foley Horse Arena. Children’s activities begin at 6pm. Rodeo events start at 8pm. Professionals will compete in events such as, bareback, bull riding, calf roping, steer wrestling, barrel racing, and more! There will be a Kid’s Zone that will be covered by general admission prices. Adult tickets, $15. Children ages 3 to 12, $8. Two and under, free.

Saenger Theatre Summer Classic Movie: The Goonies- Located at the Saenger Theatre, at 7pm. Take your big kid to see a classic on the big screen! Adult tickets, $6. Kids under 12, $3.

Movie Night at the Ballpark- Theodore Athletic Association- 7:30 pm. Grab your chairs & blankets and enjoy a movie outdoors on the big screen. Summer favorites such as hot dogs, candy, nachos and popcorn will be available. FREE Admission.

Battle of the Bay Back to School Community Day– Located at Daphne Middle School, at 10am. This event is hosted by Compass II Life Services and Daphne Police Department. There will be a basketball game between the two host as guest enjoy food, a DJ, haircuts, school supplies, family resources, free giveaways, and more! This is a FREE event.
Pet Supermarket’s Ferret Workshop– Located at Pet Supermarket (Mobile and Daphne locations), from 12pm to 1pm. If you have an animal lover, this event is an informational workshop on how to care for ferrets as pets. Attendees, will receive a gift bag, while supplies last, and have the chance to be entered into an in-store raffle for a $10 gift card. This event is a FREE event.
Princess Storytime– Located at Page & Palette in Fairhope, from 10:30am to 12:30pm. For all the princesses that love Belle from Beauty and the Beast! She will read a story and have princess activities, as well as, take pictures with all the kids!
Upper Delta Cruise- Departure will be from Live Oak Landing (Bay Minette), cruise time is 9am-12pm. The Delta Explorer will venture into the infamous “Devil’s Bend” and Bottled Creek. Lots of wildlife and views of “America’s Amazon”. Parents must bring life vest for children under 4. Snacks and bottled water are allowed. Adult tickets, $39.99. Kids 6-12, $19.99. Kids under 6, Free.
Mr. Bellingrath’s Birthday Celebration– Bellingrath Gardens & Home- 8:00am-5:00p.m. FREE admission for local Mobile & Baldwin County residents in to the Gardens to honor founder, Mr. Bellingrath. Cake & Coca-Cola will be available to guests.
Rubber Ducky Regatta, benefiting the Ronald McDonald House Mobile– Cooper Riverside Park. 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Mobile’s 6th annual Rubber Ducky Regatta will make a splash on August 6, 2022, by dropping thousands of rubber duckies into the Mobile River. The “adopted” duckies will race to the finish line and the three fastest ducky’s adopters will have a chance to win some fabulous prizes!

LoDa Artwalk- Located in downtown Mobile, from 6-9pm. Come support local artists and businesses while celebrating National Makeup Day and Back to School Day. The official list of events will be posted closer to date. FREE to attend.
Roll Mobile- Located at Bienville Square, from 6pm-9pm. The square will be closed off and lit up, ready for all ages to use it a a rink, complete with a DJ, during the popular LoDa Artwalk. FREE.
Little Grand Opening of Mobile’s First Free Little Art Gallery– Located at Conde-Charlotte Museum House, from 5-6pm. Both professional and nonprofessional artists are encouraged to bring, leave, and take a piece of artwork home. Go stroll by and pick up a miniature piece of art. FREE event
Kids Glow Paint Party- Located at Paint Party Studios in Downtown OWA, at 6:30pm. If your kid is all about art, take them to a cool, new paint experience! Ages 6+ are invited. $15 per canvas.

“Experience the Pottery Wheel” Event- Located at Moon Struck Pottery, from 9am-5pm. This is a beginners pottery class, great for all ages. Each participant will get to make two items on a potters wheel with assistance. Those items will then be fired and glazed by the professional and then returned to the client. Classes are booked hourly and reservations are required. $40 per person.
“Yacht Rock” Sunset Cruise- Located at Blakeley Park, from 6:45-10pm. Enjoy a sunset cruise into Mobile Bay and then a 30 minute performance by rock cover band, Disco Kiss, at Cooper Riverside Park. Participants will stay on the boat for the performance. Adult tickets, $39.99. Kid tickets, ages 6-12, $19.99.
Saturdays at the Coop! Cooper Riverside Park- 7p.m. – 10 p.m. Relax and enjoy live musical entertainment with Disco Kiss. August’s YACHT ROCK theme invites you to pull up your boats along the waterfront at Cooper Riverside Park and enjoy the live music.
Cars & Coffee at The Fort– The Fort Park Spanish Fort- 8:00 am -1000am. Come enjoy coffee and breakfast while checking out exotic cars. All ages welcome.

Sunset Cruise- Departure from Five Rivers Delta Resource Center, at 7pm. This is a short one hour cruise over Mobile Bay for a spectacular view of the beautiful bay sunset. Have dinner with the fam before or after on the causeway where Five Rivers is located. Parents must bring life vests for children under the age of four. Adult tickets, $13.50. Kids 6-12, $7.50. Kids, 5 and under, Free.

Mobile Bay and Eastern Shore Cruise- Departure from Five Rivers Delta Resource Center, at 9am. This is a 3 hour round trip cruise down the Eastern Shore, past Fairhope, down to the historic Middle Bay Lighthouse. Adult tickets, $35. Kids 6-12, $17. Kids 5 and under, Free.

Delta Discovery Cruise– Departure from Five Rivers, at 1pm. This cruise is only 90 minutes and covers the “American Amazon”, which usually provides views of local wildlife in their natural habitat. Must bring life vests for kids under the age of four. Check back for pricing.

Wee Exchange- Located at Abba Shrine, times are different each day. This event opens to the public on August 22nd, but earlier for those that consign item. Please check their schedule for specific days and times. This is a huge kids’ resale event. Consign and buy items for kids such as clothes, shoes, toys, baby equipment, furniture, and more! There is a consignment fee and entry fee for returning moms. New moms get your free tickets while you can.

Saenger Theatre Summer Classic Movie: The Karate Kid- Located at the Saenger Theatre, at 7pm. Enjoy a classic movie with your kids in a cool theatre. The Karate Kid is sure to impress those big kids of yours. Adult tickets, $6. Kids under 12, $3.

Jurassic Quest- Located at the Mobile Convention Center, different time slots available. This is a travelling dinosaur show, sure to impress your little dino lovers! Kids can ride a dino, create a dino craft, dig for fossils, meet baby dinos, walk with dinosaurs, view life size dinosaur replicas, and more! Must purchase tickets for specific day and time, so buy ahead of time! Different ticket packages available.
