Fireworks and Independence Day Events in Mobile and Baldwin County

If you live along the Alabama Gulf Coast and are looking for some Fourth of July fun for the fam, we have put together a list of all of the family friendly Independence Day events going on in Mobile and Baldwin Counties! Whether you want to stay close to home or go the beach, this list has you covered. We hope you are able to get out and enjoy the holiday excitement! Happy Independence Day Mamas!

Join us in celebrating our Independence Day with a FREE fireworks show on June 29th at Saraland High School. This is a park and watch event with local food trucks on site. Participating Food Trucks: A Guy, A Girl and Their Meat Wagon, Holly Jolly Snowcones, Horton’s Snack Shack, In the Kitchen with Eva. *Overflow parking available at Redemption Church with access to restrooms.

9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. – Rolston Park Coden, Al

Join the 4th of July celebration at Rolston Park on Saturday, June 29th!  This event is a family-friendly event! Tents will be allowed this year on a first come, first spot basis. Free watermelon will be provided by State Senator David Sessions, beginning at 3 p.m. Fireworks begin at dusk.

5:00 to 9:00 p.m. – 4100 Wulff Road E, Semmes, Alabama

This event will be an absolute blast and more fun than ever before! There will be an amazing fireworks show at the end of the event (9pm), live entertainment (The headliner will be Radio Incorporated), food trucks, vendors, fun for the kids and more! . Plan to bring your chairs! Dogs are welcome but must be on a leash. In the past, this event took place on the football field of MGM High School. The school is having turf installed this year so we will be doing things differently. This year’s event will be block party styled right in the heart of Semmes. The location will be the green spaces near Honor Park and City Hall. Parts of Wulff Road will be closed. The City will have busses and trolleys running throughout the city in constant rotation. Bus & trolley schedules will be posted soon. 

6:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. – USS Alabama Battleship Memorial Park

Get Ready for an Independence Day Extravaganza brought to you by the City of Mobile! Come and be a part of an exciting day at the USS Alabama Battleship Memorial Park! Enjoy a day filled with lively music, engaging games, entertaining activities, delightful face painting, and a breathtaking fireworks display at 9 PM. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to bring your friends and family for a day of fun and excitement!

Festival is from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. (Fireworks begin at 8:00 p.m.) – Oddfellows Festival Park

On July 4, admission is $5 per vehicle and the festival features Arts & Crafts vendors, rides, food vendors, entertainment, the Pretty Baby Contest, Car Show, games, and all the free, sliced, ice cold, sweet Grand Bay watermelon you can eat.  We plan to have fireworks again this year at 8 pm. If you leave the park and come back, just show your program to get back in the gate. Otherwise, Gate admission is $5 per vehicle at the entrance gate. You will be allowed to walk to the top of the hill in the Festival area to watch the fireworks from there, and you can visit the Food Vendors before the fireworks start. This event is sponsored in part by Mobile County Commission.

9:00 p.m. – Middle Beach (Next to DI School)

Join us on Independence Day 2024 for a spectacular fireworks display at Middle Beach (next to DI School) at 9pm! The town is sponsoring what should be the largest fireworks show held here in recent years and you’re invited to celebrate with us. Earlier that day the Dauphin Island Veterans Association will host its annual Independence Day ceremony at Water Tower Plaza at 11am. Always a patriotic and uplifting event filled with red, white & blue!

Opens at 10:00 a.m. – Pioneer Park

Make plans to come out and enjoy Downtown Summerdale! The festival will open at 10am We will have vendors with food, drinks, arts and crafts, kids zone activities for the kids, cars jeeps and tractor show with awards at 2pm, The Molly Ringwalds at 7pm, followed by the best fireworks show in Baldwin County at 9pm.

10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. – You, Me & the Boys Farmstead

The theme is 4th of July/patriotic. Come in your red, white, and blue! Bring swimsuits for your little ones as the sprinklers will be on. We MAY even have a slip ‘n slide, if we can work it out. ***Also bring shoes they can wear in the water; sometimes there are grass burs/stickers. We’ve got some FANTASTIC vendors lined up for this event! It’s All Good Food Truck will be here, so come hungry; their menu looks amazing! Mary B. Faces will be offering face paint at no cost to you, and she will also be testing some waterproof designs! Perfect Timing Photography will be on-site taking candids, also at no cost to you, so that y’all can put your phones down and relax with your family. Scoops Water and Ice will be here with a fantastic assortment of ice cream to beat the heat! Don’t forget to RSVP if you plan to join us!

Never been to a farm play event? Here’s what to expect: bubble machines, cotton candy, kid friendly music, pet or hold a chick, feed carrots to the donkeys, hug our mini cows, say hi to our sheep, visit our resident turkey, swing from live oaks, mild kid-friendly zip line, restrooms available, bring cash for entrance, food & ice cream! Gates open at 10 and will close at noon. Parking is limited. Closed-toed shoes are required for animal interactions. Pay at the gate! $6 per person, ages 1-99

6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. – The Wharf

We are saving more than just a sliver of fun for you at Red, White + Wharf every Monday night during the summer season. Grab the kiddos and come out to enjoy entertainment from magicians, stilt walkers and balloon artists, then stick around to dance to the rhythm of the beat with DJ Matt, ride a camel or get your face painted all season long. Plus play in the glow bubbles after the sun sets from the official Bubble Truck. End the night with the SPECTRA Laser Light Experience: 8:30, 9 & 9:30.

5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. – The Wharf- Main Street

Happy Birthday, America! Join us as we celebrate with red, white and FUN. There will be family friendly activities in the Entertainment District including a bubble truck, bounce houses, face painting ($10), camel rides ($10), Photo 360 Booth, stilt walker, balloon artist, juggler, Reptile Bus, DJ Matt spinning dancing tunes, special appearances by Lady Liberty, Uncle Sam + more. We’ll end the night with the palm trees dancing in patriotic colors and a grand fireworks show. All of the fun will be presented by Beachball Properties. See you … here!

9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., The Hangout Gulf Shores

Don’t miss out on this epic event to commemorate Independence Day with friends and family. Bring your appetite and competitive spirit for a star-spangled day of burgers and fun! See you there!

10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. – 14809 Gates Avenue, Magnolia Springs

The Magnolia Springs Biggest Little 4th of July Parade will be on Thursday, July 4, 2024 beginning at 10:30 am. Line up on Woodland Drive begins at 10:00 am. The parade route will start at Woodland Drive, along Oak Street, ending at the Magnolia Springs Volunteer Fire Department. An All-American hot dog lunch will be served at the Fire Station immediately following the parade.

7:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. – Henry George Park @ Fairhope Pier

The City of Fairhope will host its annual Fourth of July Concert & Fireworks display again this year on Thursday, July 4th in Henry George Park and the Fairhope Municipal Pier. The Baldwin Pops Band Independence Day Concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. in Henry George Park. A variety of patriotic music will be played before and during the fireworks display. The Fairhope fireworks display will begin at approximately 9 p.m. The north end of Fairhope Municipal Park will be open throughout the day and will remain open until no parking is available. The south end of the beach front park and Knoll Park will be available to spectators. Handicap parking will be available near the fountain but will be limited. Those who wish to park in the handicap area should plan to arrive early and stay until the fireworks are over.As a reminder, this is an alcohol-free event, and no personal fireworks are permitted. 8:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. – Garret Park

9:00 p.m. – Flora-Bama Lounge & Oyster Bar

The 4th of July is a great day to celebrate our Nation’s Birthday at Flora-Bama. Enjoy the beach, listen to live music and watch the fireworks from the beach at night (fireworks start at 9 pm). Bring your family or friends for a national day of fun on the beach at the Flora-Bama! Admission: cover charge starts at 6 pm

9:00 p.m. – Gulf State Park Fishing and Education Pier

The City of Gulf Shores is proud to present its Annual Fourth of July Fireworks Celebration on Thursday, July 4. This beloved community event promises to be an unforgettable night of patriotic pride and family fun. The fireworks display will be launched from the Gulf State Park Fishing and Education Pier, beginning promptly at 9 p.m. Spectators are encouraged to gather at the Gulf State Park and the eastern Gulf Shores Public Beach area for the best viewing experience. Please note that the pier and the pier parking area will remain closed to the public during the event due to ongoing construction. Those planning to view the fireworks from the Gulf State Park are encouraged to utilize the parking areas at Lake Shelby and the Gulf State Park Beach Pavilion.

9:00 p.m. – Al Trione Sports Complex

Celebrate Independence Day with a spectacular fireworks show set to patriotic music!
Stay tuned for the announcement of the broadcast station where residents can tune in and listen along! Don’t miss out on this dazzling display – We hope to see you there!

6:00 p.m. to 10:30 – Perdido Beach Resort

 We will be hosting our annual Fireworks Celebration and Barbecue on Thursday, July 4th, in Orange Beach, AL. This annual event includes an all-American beachside barbecue, live music featuring The Mixed Nuts, cash bars, and a star-spangled fireworks show from the beach. The Mixed Nuts are a New Orleans based band that has played for numerous Mardi Gras events including the Krewe of Orpheus Ball as well as Journey, Kid Rock, The Temptations and The Doobie Brothers along with many other top groups from around the country. Seating will begin at 6 pm. Adult Admission — $60.00*, Child Admission (6-12) — $15.00*, Children 5 & Under — FREE** (see pricing details here)

We’ll be celebrating Independence Day, July 4th—6th, at OWA with family-friendly activities, a Dive-In movie night, live music, and one incredible fireworks show! From photo ops with Uncle Sam to a patriotic Costume Contest to a Hot Dog Eating Contest, this free event has it all! Grab your friends and celebrate with a fun day on the streets of Downtown! PLUS, enjoy a spectacular fireworks show on Saturday, July 6th, synchronized with patriotic music playing throughout the property. The fireworks will go off at 8:50 pm sharp and can be seen in the air over Downtown OWA & Tropic Falls. Grab your Season Pass, Day Ticket, or Twilight ticket to enjoy the show inside the gates of Tropic Falls!  This event is FREE to attend in Downtown OWA for guests. *Tropic Falls admission ticket or pass is required for the Dive-In movie night along with entrance into Tropic Falls. You can find the full schedule of events here.
