A Fairhope Nutcracker
This is the perfect event to kick off your holiday season, with a unique twist to the classical ballet. Journey with Clara as she frolics in downtown Fairhope with her family and friends. Uncle Drosselmeyer and his nephew arrive with magical gifts including a life size Ballerina Doll and Soldier Doll. Drosselmeyer gives Clara the special gift of a Nutcracker. As everyone goes home for the evening, a dance battle ensues between the Mouse Queen and the Nutcracker who has magically grown to life size. Clara saves her beloved Nutcracker and they begin their journey through the Mist of Mobile Bay. Act 2 begins with Angels guiding their way to the Land of the Sweets. Clara and the Nutcracker are greeted by the Sugarplum Fairy and sweets from far away lands. Beautiful azaleas waltz and swirl as Clara’s journey comes to an end.
