The Haunted Book Shop Celebrates 5th Anniversary with a Spectacular Week-Long Celebration

The Haunted Book Shop is thrilled to announce its week-long 5th Anniversary Celebration from October 6th to October 13th, 2023. This extraordinary series of events is dedicated to expressing gratitude to you, our loyal customers, who have supported us over the last five years.

The Haunted Book Shop has been a haven for book lovers, offering a unique and enchanting experience since its inception. Our 5th Anniversary Celebration promises to be a memorable occasion with a diverse range of activities and events that are sure to delight all bibliophiles.

Here’s a sneak peek at some of the exciting events scheduled for this anniversary extravaganza:

• Tessa Bailey Block Party & Holiday Mart (October 6, 5-9PM): Kick off the celebration with a bustling block party featuring a holiday mart filled with a curated list of local vendors and a Tessa Bailey themed cocktail menu at Alchemy Tavern. (We have a handful of tickets available for the Tessa Bailey Book Signing, so reserve your ticket before they are all gone!)

• Book Club Bash (October 8, 2-3:30PM): Calling all book club enthusiasts! Looking to join a book club? Looking for new members for your club or to start a brand new book club? This is your chance to connect with fellow book lovers.

• Local Author Meet-n-Greet (October 8, 3:30-5PMPM): Calling all local authors! This is your chance to learn what The Haunted Book Shop can do for you through our local author services including consignment, launch parties, and book signings and connect with fellow local authors.

• Fan Favorite Book Award (now through October 12): Celebrate your favorite books purchased from The Haunted Book Shop by nominating and voting for your favorite from our 20 bestsellers of the last 5 years. Nominate online. Vote on your favorite finalist in-store. Winning book will be announced at the THBS Fans of the Shop Party.

• Mr. Bingley’s “Add a Line” (October 6-12): Channel your inner writer and participate in Mr. Bingley’s “Add a Line” story creation, a creative and collaborative storytelling experience. In-store customers can add one sentence to Mr. Bingley’s story. It’s about time our favorite cat starred in his own story!

• THBS Fans of the Shop Party (October 12, 4-6PM): Celebrate 5 years of literary delights with us as we reminisce on the last five years, announce the Fan Favorite Book, debut Mr. Bingley’s Story, and toast you, the customers who have made this shop a success.

• Artwalk, Grand Finale with Ramona Reeves (October 13, 6-8PM): We culminate the week-long celebration with an evening in the company of award-winning author and Mobile native, Ramona Reeves. We’re also giving stickers to anyone who celebrates this spooky Artwalk in costume. An event not to be missed!
