The Wyndy app is expanding to Mobile, Alabama and we could not be more excited! Wyndy is mobile app that connects families and sitters. It was first created in Birmingham, Alabama and has since expanded its services to other cities across multiple states. When you use Wyndy, there’s no guesswork in finding a safe, experienced local sitter. Simply post your job, receive interest from multiple sitters, and offer the job. It is that easy! You will be able to connect with other moms on the app and see which sitters they have liked in the past, as well as, save your favorite Wyndy sitters to a list for future jobs.

How does it work?

Simply download the app (Find it here) and set up your profile. When you are ready to book a sitter, you will complete prompts that will confirm details of the job including pay rate and other duties expected such as baths, assistance with mealtimes, etc. The Wyndys are then able to view your job and respond to offers within minutes of posting. You will be able to review their profiles and select your sitter of choice. Once the booking is accepted, you will be able to communicate with your sitter via text prior to the job.

One of the biggest issues with other babysitting apps and websites is that the sitters are not required to submit a background check or do an interview, meaning just anyone can sign up for a job. The safety of our children is always a top priority. Wyndy sitters must meet certain standards in order to be hired on. Sitters must have a minimum of 1 year paid childcare experience. They also must complete a video interview to evaluate professionalism and communication skills. Unlike other sitting services, all candidates are background checked. Wyndys are actively enrolled or recently graduated from an accredited higher education institution. Every babysitter is thoroughly screened for you, so you don’t have to. Parents can have peace of mind that their family is in good hands.

They offer multiple services to help busy parents.

Along with general babysitting services, they can also assist with school pick-ups/drop offs, date nights, work from home days, and vacations. They make payments simple.

Parents choose the rate of pay when they post their job and it is agreed upon ahead of time when the offer is accepted. An in-app timer is started when your Wyndy arrives to the job and stopped once you arrive back home. Payment totals are automatically calculated, and all transactions are paid directly through the app. This is straight forward and eliminates the hassle in how much to pay for the job. It also solves the no cash problem, or the sitter being worried they will be shorted on payment if the job runs longer than expected. It’s a win,win situation that won’t even require a conversation.

You can choose a sitter that best meets your family’s needs.

Each sitter has a profile that can be reviewed before a job is offered. You can view age groups that they have experience with, along with specialized care for special circumstances, such as autism or physical disabilities. Each sitter will have a rating based on their previous jobs. You can also view the number of jobs they have completed through Wyndy. If you have parent connections on the app, you can even view their previous sitters and reviews as well.
