The holidays are officially here, and what better way to kick off the season than with a Christmas tree lighting? We have listed some of the top tree lightings in the Mobile and Baldwin County areas. We hope to see you around town making memories with your friends and family.

Thursday, November 16th

Fairhope’s Annual Tree Lighting

20 N. Section Street, 5:30 p.m.

To kick off the holiday season, please come join us in the center of town for the Annual Lighting of the Trees! Music will start at 5:30 PM and the countdown for the lighting of the trees will be promptly at 6PM!

Friday, November 17th

City of Mobile’s Lighting of the Tree

Mardi Gras Park, 5:30 – 9:00 p.m. (Tree lighting at 6:30 p.m.)

Join the City of Mobile for a night of cheer as we light up the night and celebrate the start of the holiday season! This free family-friendly event will include a Live DJ, Christmas Crafts, Photo Opportunities, Santa Claus, and so much more!Check out the line-up below! Bring your family and friends for a Mobile tradition that is sure to make memories!

Chickasaw Tree Lighting

Miller Park, 5:30 p.m. (Tree lighting at 6:30 p.m.)

The City of Chickasaw will kick off the Christmas Season with our Christmas Tree Lighting on Friday, Nov. 17th! Santa arrives early for pictures at 530pm, at 630pm event begins with Christmas message, Special music , Cookies and Hot Chocolate.

First Annual Christmas Tree Lighting

Double D’s Burger, 7:00 p.m.

Come count down to Lighting of the Christmas tree. Bring a chair or blanket and have a seat in front of the tree and grab a Burger with us at Double D’s. All sponsored by Double Ds Burger 

Live music starts at 6pm
Snow Ball fights start at 6pm
Tree Lighting will be done by the Grinch at 7pm

Saturday, November 18th

Semmes Christmas Market and Tree Lighting

City of Semmes Honor Park, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. (Tree lighting 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.)

Come shop all day at the Christmas Market from around 50 vendors. The ice skating rink will be open all day and is free for the public! Join us for the Tree Lighting ceremony from 5-7 p.m. We will light the Semmes Christmas Tree, enjoy local entertainment, and have photo ops with Santa. We can’t wait to see you there! 

OWA’s Tree Lighting

Downtown OWA, 2:00 p.m. -8:30 p.m. (Tree lighting 7:00 p.m.)

Celebrate the enchanting magic of the season at our Tree Lighting ceremony in the heart of Downtown OWA. Immerse yourself in the festive atmosphere as the streets come alive with the melodious sounds of Christmas music. This extraordinary holiday extravaganza features captivating live entertainment, culminating in the awe-inspiring illumination of OWA’s colossal 45-foot-tall Christmas tree. The event is further enhanced by a gentle snowfall, creating a winter wonderland, and concludes with spectacular fireworks display that will leave you in awe. This event is free to attend in Downtown OWA. No admission required.

Saraland Tree Lighting

Town Center Park, 6:00 p.m.

Saraland Civic Forum present the 4th Annual Tree Lighting. Join us for food, music, games and meet Santa!

Monday, November 27th

Southwest Mobile County Chamber Tree Lighting

5055 Carol Plantation Road, 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Join us to kick off the holidays with our Annual Tree Lighting event with local school choirs, hot chocolate and refreshments. Plus a grand appearance from Santa Claus.

Tuesday, November 28th

City of Orange Beach Tree Lighting

The Wharf- Main Street, 5:30 p.m.

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas! Help us usher in the holiday season with bulbs, garland and glee. The annual tree lighting hosted by the City of Orange Beach is the perfect ceremony to inspire the Yuletide spirit. Enjoy special festive musical performances, an appearance from Santa, cups of toasty hot chocolate, a holiday SPECTRA Laser Light Experience show and much more.

Thursday, November 30th

Daphne’s Annual Tree Lighting

Daphne City Hall, 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Join us for Daphne’s Annual Tree Lighting Thursday, featuring musical guests Roman Street, November 30, 2023 at Daphne City Hall! It all starts at 6:00 PM – train rides, caroling, children’s activities and more!

Atmore Tree Lighting

First National Bank & Trust Park, 4:30 p.m. (Tree lighting 6:30 p.m.)

Let’s get to rockin’ around the Christmas tree! It’s Christmastime in Downtown Atmore! Festivities kick off at 4:30 PM!
First National Bank & Trust Park is where you’ll want to start! Snap a few photos with Santa courtesy of The L House Photography (digital photo packages available for purchase). Don’t forget to pick up some reindeer food to sprinkle on your lawn on Christmas Eve so the reindeer know to stop at your house first!
While the kiddos have fun, we can’t forget the adults! Various local businesses will be hosting after-hours shopping alongside SALES and refreshments. Be sure you’re following this event page as we will post the businesses’ sales and promotions here! Lastly, circle back around to First National Bank & Trust Park at 6:30 for our Annual Christmas Tree Lighting! More details to come! Bay Minette Tree Lighting

Baldwin County Courthouse Square, 5:30 p.m.

The 41st annual Christmas Fest will be held Dec. 1-2 in downtown Bay Minette. The festival, sponsored by the North Baldwin Chamber of Commerce, will include outdoor vendor and food booths and stage entertainment both days. The festival will open Friday, Dec. 1, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and will include the tree lighting ceremony at 5:30 p.m. followed by the Ping Pong Drop at 6 p.m.

Saturday, December 2nd

Elberta Tree Lighting

Town of Elberta, 4:30 p.m.

Join The Town of Elberta for our annual night time parade, Tree Lighting, Pictures with Santa, Cookies and Hot Chocolate, and Movies in the Park. We will line up for the parade at 4:30 and roll at 5:30, this is the short route. Line up on Illinois St South to Hwy 98 East then turn North on Co. Rd. 83 to Oak Street West to Chicago and back towards the school. Then Join us in the Park to light our Town Tree, BRING A FAMILY Ornament to hang (this is a new idea – something you make for the tree, buy, but don’t need back, as we cannot control the elements) Get your family photos with Santa and enjoy some hot chocolate and Christmas Movies for the evening. We are a community family and want everyone to feel like they are home for the holidays!

City of Bayou La Batre Lighting of the Tree

Mariner Park, 6:00 p.m.

The annual Lighting of the Tree will be held at Mariner Park on Saturday, December 2, 2023. The festivities will begin at 6 p.m. For more information please call City Hall at 251-824-2171 or Councilman George Ramires at 251-751-4020. Mariner Park is located at the Splash Pad and Fire Station #1

Magnolia Springs Cookies with Santa & Tree Lighting

Community Hall, 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m

Spanish Fort Tree Lighting and Movie Night

Spanish Fort, 7361 Spanish Fort Blvd, 6:00 p.m. to 7:30

Join the City of Spanish Fort for our annual holiday celebration!  We will celebrate the season with live music from the Spanish Fort High School Choir, a short Christmas movie for the kids and end the evening lighting up the Fort as we turn on our holiday lights for the season.  It will be a fun night for all!  

Friday, December 8th

Loxley Tree Lighting

Loxley Municipal Park, 7:00 p.m.

Join us for our 3rd annual Christmas in the Park event. Immediately following the parade we will begin with the Lighting of the Tree ceremony. New this year will be our Festival of Trees lighting celebration! There will also be food trucks, live music, face painting and of course Santa and Mrs. Claus! Please bring a camera or cell phone to take pictures with Santa in his sleigh and a chair to enjoy the entertainment.
