10 Easter Basket Ideas 2021

As Easter Sunday is fast approaching, all you Easter Bunnies may need some help or suggestions on what the kids may want to find in their baskets. Let me start out by telling you there is absolutely not a thing wrong with buying a prefilled basket if that relieves you from stress! Personally, we like to fill our kids’ baskets ourselves and there are a lot of different ways to do it.

So first, you will need a basket. Personalization Mall and Pottery Barn Kids has a lot of cute options with monogrammed names. Lillian Vernon has fewer choices, but offers $1.99 shipping. Possibly one of the easiest tools for an Easter basket would be Personal Creations. They personalize and you can add all the fun fillers with their ‘create your own’ option. If you run out of time to order, any basket will do. We find that the kids care less about the basket and more about what is inside.

Next, you need all the fillers: The green grass, the plastic eggs, and the candy/treats. We don’t waste money on these fillers and grab these things from Dollar Tree or the Target dollar bin, along with any other cutesy Easter themed stuff they may have. Books make great stuffers because they take up room and create structure for other items. The Party City party favor section is also full of excellent little toys that will fit inside an egg. This provides less space between items once you have put any larger gifts in or around the basket.

We like to do a primary gift for our littles. For example, the four year old has been asking for a Spiderman suit, thus that will be his “main” gift. The infants will be getting a teether shaped like a carrot. Definitely tailor it to your kid’s specific needs and wants to make it a hit. Themed gift baskets are also fun! Spring and summer brings on the warmer weather, so a fun beach towel with water toys/clothes is something we have done in the past.
